| French poet, playwright and film director. Cocteau also showed talent as an actor novelist and artist. Overall an astonishing success. ALS "Jean" in French, 1 p., 8 vo. Np. September 30, 1959, to an unknown but intimate correspondent: "I'm a step forward in this film where I am arranging actions in the place of words, where I need to invent a sort of visual syntax. I crammed your scene in, reserving (exact opposite of preceding scene), the reversal of the scenes putting your beautiful voice in the margin. I believe you will like this poem without the poetic tone of voice. Kisses..." In fine condition, with excellent content and association. Would frame nicely. (#ART7101) |
